Our mission:

Empower.

We Rise is not another program or service. We hit different! We are a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit organization on the frontlines with the future generations in order to help them become the generation that breaks the cycle. Through our youth programs, family support and a collective of impassioned partners, we are here to help our youth reach their full potential.

Our legacy is disadvantaged communities uplifted by generations of adults who were once kids within these communities, not by community leaders that have advanced above everyone else and are being followed, but by helping everyone to lead themselves and each other, contributing to the whole. A generation of youth equipped with the skills and tools to overcome any and all challenges is an unstoppable force. We are honored to have a small, humble part in their story.

How It Works

Our programs are stand-alone and integrated. Each program offers a key touch point with our kids and allows us the opportunity to provide support and guidance in the most important areas of their life, enabling them to set themselves up for success through life planning and post-high school options. Further, we focus on four areas that build out a child’s development from within to without in the following four ways:

  1. SELF: We help our kids learn who they are and who they can become, so they can learn how to believe in themselves and feel confident in their ability to achieve and move through life with strength and resiliency.

  2. SCHOOL: Academics is the priority above sports, and with the highest of standards and the support system in place to enable them to meet them, our kids are learning that having and hitting a high bar for oneself is central to believing in oneself.

  3. SPORTS: In the game of sports there are rules, players and strategies. We use sports to teach our kids invaluable life lessons in a positive and encouraging space. Kids learn best when they’re having fun, and our kids are proof of that!

  4. SERVICE: Being an exceptional human isn’t enough, you must be a person who thinks and acts beyond oneself for the good of the whole in order to be truly successful in life. Our focus on service teaches our kids how to bring themselves into community in the right ways, not as an obligation but as opportunities to share what makes them special and serve as role models for others.
