About We Rise
Uplifting a community in need.
We Rise is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting kids in communities in need. We do this through our youth programs and services. Our mission is to help kids and create pathways out of poverty. Our focus is holistic, prioritizing self, school, sports, and community, in order to create young adults capable of living life and contributing to the whole in positive ways. Through them we will shape the future by helping our kids go forward in their lives and reach their potential.
Our Why
Children born into generational poverty face a complex array of interconnected emotional and social challenges, such as homelessness, financial insecurity, teenage parenting, and substance abuse. When children face such an array of obstacles and have few examples of overcoming them, succeeding in school and life seems daunting, and the cycle continues generation after generation.
We Rise exists to change that.
We believe every child has the potential, the ability, and is deserving of opportunities to realize their potential regardless of background, race, or economic class. They simply need to believe it too.
We exist to make this happen.
